An Out-in-Two scholar and member of the dean’s list, Cheng has been accepted by Columbia University and Cornell University for the fall 2020 semester. She enjoys working among a team and always feels inspired by her peers. For Cheng, facing challenges is like collecting pebbles that help pave the way to becoming a better person. She has gained a CPR certificate in order to help people in urgent situations. Besides that, Cheng cares about the environment; and enjoys puzzles, problem-solving, and reading, preferably with a cat on her lap. As the first member of her family to attend college, Cheng hopes to earn a degree, provide a better life for her family, and go on to help improve the planet in any small way that she can.
